Update:

I tried flashing to the stock rom but now after it completes customization I'm right back in the same boat. Even the stock rom won't boot past the touch pro screen after it completes customization and does it's initial soft reset.

All of this could have been caused by a bad rom from NRG? I don't get how the issues could still be there after all of this hard reseting and flashing other roms.

Just so we are clear.

Hard Reset:

With the phone off (pull battery and replace battery)
Press and hold the center circle button (enter), Volume Down, and the power button in that order. Hold until a screen warns you that this will restore your default settings. Press the Volume up button to continue.
