they eliminated the up/down shortcut entirely so now numbers are most of the keyboard and only a few punctuation is there. that's okay, but i don't prefer it. the thing that really gets me is just how much extra space it takes up because of that bottom bar. It's probably great for WVGA but i just don't have the space to give up.

There is an option in the settings of touchpal 4 that removes the bottom bar. Also in version 4 you can change the size of the keyboard overall. I believe like 3 separate options. Also in the forums of cootek there is a patch for version 4 that removes the number shortcuts with the punctuation like 3.5. When I first started using 4 coming from 3.5 I didn't like it but if you give it a few days you'll realize that it is much better and quicker. Just my 2 cents.
