It's definitely not creating a problem, at least none I could ever identify.
It's only in the SYS because Calk put it there. In other kitchens it is under Rhodium External Packages and is selectable. SYS files are usually for core WM OS files, not external HTC applications.
Because of that HTCMessage is not necessary for WM6.x to function, so removing it
could potentially cause Manila problems, but
not something as core as IMAP email syncing.
Either way, the problem in this case is tied to my GMail account: it simply is not syncing via IMAP although a secondary GMail account that I have does sync--so something is off on Google's end, even though IMAP is enabled in my account.
Conclusion though is kitchen is fine
Other topic: Google Maps 3.3 is out today. Who has a working OEM they can upload? Or rather, how do I get it to work in OEMizer? I get an error message about it not being signed when cooked in now. TIA
