I used
Opera 9.5 build 18152 from the list of opera builds. Installed it on 21877 standard. After a soft reset (not sure if I needed to but just in case) it worked perfectly. The zoom bar worked, Opera 9.5 was the default (loaded from the manila internet tab). Give it a shot!
