I think you missed my point. Have you tried using your software while walking? Thats when you will see the lag. IT has nothing to do with how the app connects to the GPS itself, its more of the resolution that the GPS chip itself has. I even mentioned I dont really see that much lag when I am driving at highway speeds, its when you get on foot and try to use the gps that you notice its low resolution.

The gps chip doesnt output position info at a high enough resolution to be used for walking, you only see your position update about every 30 - 50 feet.

Honestly, if your using GPSgate with an app that can talk to the winmo gps API your just defeating the purpose of gpsgate. After some reading up on it, its simply an app that lets you share your gps with apps that doesnt use the winmo gps api. It "talks" to the gps chip through the windows "manage gps" api, or to a bluetooth receiver and simply echoes it on a "virtual" com port. So essentially your using an app that is not really needed.
