Re: [ROM] 1.2 RELEASED! (11-28-09) CFay_RHOD_500/400**21874**

Time zone issue with this and other ROMS.

Here's what happens if your not in the eastern time zone. Start with a fresh install, hard reset. Run carrier provisioning for Sprint. Check the time on. It's correct. Go to Settings>Communication>Phone>Network. Set it to CDMA Only. Go to the weather tab. Hit update, allow HTC location and wait for it to update your weather. Check the time. It's now changed to eastern time. You can go to Start>Settings>Clocks&Alarms and the home tab will be set to Eastern. I don't know why. Changing it to your correct time zone (In my case mountain) will solve the problem, but it will occasionally revert to eastern or even GMT. It appears that the HTC location data is getting preference over the carrier timezone data even with the phone preferences set to synch with mobile network. I've seen this happen on the mouse's rom also. If would suspect it's in the provisioning cab, but it's just a guess. Anyone else?

Edit:
More info. This is reliably happening to my phone right after hard reset, even without running provisioning, without any SD card installed, and without anything installed other than the ROM itself. I update the weather tab and the time changes to eastern even though it recognizes my city correctly. I go into phone settings and tell it to sync time with the mobile carrier and it switches back to the correct time zone (Mountain). This has to be in the rom itself.
