BTW: I do know this is old news, but some of us are too poor to get the TP2 yet. Until I get the funds to get a TP2, I'll keep cracking away at the TP.
After replacing the drivers with the old versions (from this site) I installed the cab file for the radio (also, on this site). What did I get... nada. Except, it was operating the HW.
I know, I know. Old news. Before flaming, please hear me out.
With the above in mind, I cracked it open and put a conductive paste across each "missing" passive joint. For example, If a resistor was suppose to be here in the "radio enabled" version, and removed on the current version, the paste will create a loose connection that should enable the radio. Once again, I did this across ALL missing components without discrimination.
My results? Well I was able to tune to three local stations (read stations less than a quarter mile away), but still no audio. I did put the output of the phone into a very large amp and heard something promising. I heard the internal amp engage for about ten seconds whenever I tuned, muted, or changed volume. When it was engaged I could just barely make out music and voices. As a reminder, that was through a very large amp!
Well folks, I have stretched my little Touch Pro just about as far as I dare. If anyone has any suggestions, questions, or comments; I'll be glad to hear them!

It seems like progress....
So, it appears to be disabled in the hardware
Can be enabled with some work but audio is weak - but works...
Maybe you need other drivers to up the volume?
