Boo Boo,
This was the only thing that I could get to work for my tethering on my Stock Sprint TP2 rom.
I first tried this:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=78019
Installed the cab, and did soft reset.
I was still getting error 67, from using both the quick link from the USB2PC menu that pops up when you plug in the cable as well as when I went to the Internet Sharing app in the start menu. Even after changing the connection from "Phone as modem" to "Sprint"
So, I downloaded the "hot fix" that is at the very first post in this thread, soft reset, and tried again with the same results (error 67). I tried using the Internet sharing app in the start menu, as well as the quick link from the USB2PC popup app.
I then uninstalled the "hot fix", and followed the directions from Boo Boo I quoted above, I am able to tether succesfully from both the USB2PC popup link, and the Internet Sharing link from the start menu.
I will check my data usage on sprint in a few days to see if I get dinged with tethering charges. Can anyone confirm that Boo Boo's method is "safe"?
