Don't worry about the validity of your questions, we all have to start somewhere! I'm not a rom cooker but know my way around WinMo and am pretty adept at most PC related issues. You're using a Touch Pro 2, correct? I just got my Tilt 2 about 2 weeks ago and am using the Rhodium Energy ROM. I Love it. I would suggest, if you haven't already, searching the xda-developers site under rhodium, best place for anything HTC. Had an Iphone, fun toy, too proprietary and I loathe itunes. WinMo is my friend! But xda-developers, join (free registration) and scroll on the homepage to the rhodium section. Check the wiki first, all sorts of tutorials and tweaks galore.
