1. So I reboot the phone
2. Connect to ActiveSync on XP (also tried WMDC on Win 7)
3. Start the Rom Update utiltiy from MatBee. Also tried the Cfay uploader
4. It goes to the point where it "should" start uploading and change the screen to the progress bar, but during that time, USB disconnects and windows says it can't install drivers. About 20 secs later the RUU gives the 260 connection error.

- I've flashed my old HTC Touch/Vogue a hundred times before, and I remember seeing this usb behavior before, but don't remember it being an issue
- I've tried Cfay, matbee, WinXP, Win7, all have the same problem\
- I've rebooted PC and phone numerous times.

Any tips? Seems like it would be a common issue but most topics I see people flash with no problems

You need to do the smaething when flashing, as you did with the unlocker.
