This isn't information that they will publicly volunteer. Imagine all the TP2 and Imagio users who have this problem but, don't do anything about it because of the run-around it typically takes when you call in.

I dont think they are just going to offer up info about some imaginary problem (that they dont want to admit) just to 'get me off their backs' for a little while. I didnt solicit any information about 1x problems, I spoke nothing of that. In fact, when they told me of it, I merely responded with uh huh's. Keep in mind that the premise for the contact had nothing to do with the coverage/service of verizon and this was an esculated executive department, not some call center supervisor.
But really all that they said was, there was a problem with local data service in S.F california area and the new phone that would be sent to me by monday would be a Brand New Phone, one with the updated hardware/software for fixing the issue with 1x getting stuck with no 3g.
