That cab is missing the one reg entry that finally got MMS working for me. I knew about that setting, after someone posted it here it rang a bell as I ran into the same problem with an old xv6800 but had completely forgotten about it.
Until I added that x-vzw-mdn entry, my VZ phone would try repeatedly to send but never actually send anything other than a plain text SMS.

The latest ROM info is usually on
Wingster, so you have that as a resource. I'm updating his latest ROM's info today.
