No, we saw it.

What you don't seem to know is that neither helmi_c nor PPCgeeks asked for or designed/developed the banner. That was our way of giving thanks to them - this kitchen wouldn't exist without them. Your comment about programmer ego was way off mark.

Furthermore, you missed that the original poster was voicing concern because of a non-obvious issue he perceived. That's very different from "the banner is graffiti on my awesome splash pic". The former is constructive feedback. The latter is whining.

Even so, I intentionally left ways to circumvent the banner. With a trivial amount of effort, you can achieve what you are after.

As I stated earlier, feel free to post any method that does not involve modifying the kitchen .rar - people with no technical abilities read these forums and I have no desire to support problems caused by such behaviour (as an example, the earlier method posted can and will trash your PPC if you use certain bootsplash pics and it will not be compatible with future kitchens).

There are at least 3 different ways to avoid the banner that don't involve modifying the .rar.
