I do get those error 1010 but that doesn't effect my performance. ppc6700 users can tether without the phone as a modem plan because the modem doesn't use NAI such as other phones including treo 700wx/p. Phones such as the A900 can turn off NAI and continue to tether away.

yes i know you CAN, but once you attempt to do it while data roaming on verizon it gets blocked by verizon. Now when i go back to sprint i get the same error and it will NOT work anymore. I restored an image from a week ago and it works again.
So in conclusion unless someone else wants to try to confirm this, attempting to roam on verizon does something that permanantly disables teathering
