Kind of a shameless bump, but I figured I'd add some more info.

I just flashed to Mr. X's ROM, and everything is working much smoother, I'm assuming because of TF3D 2.1 instead of Juicy using 2.5, however I do miss the Twitter tab and program shortcuts on the home screen instead of a separate tab.

Stupidly, one thing I hadn't done yet was *228 before I installed Mr. X's ROM, which is tempting me to go back and try it again. I'd much rather have 2.5 over 2.1, and Mr. X's feels a bit bloated. Also, for some reason, I can't get Google Maps to pick up a GPS location, but my weather and time work fine.

I don't feel comfortable enough to cook my own ROM, so I'm sort of at the mercy of whatever is cooked. This has been a fantastic learning process.

I currently have MMS working, after installing the fix listed in another thread. I did not receive MMS at all until I installed the fix. With Juicy's I would receive the MMS, but I would not be able to download the image, it would fail every time.

I'm considering making a thread kind of documenting my experience with each ROM to help newbies like myself find out what's right for them.
