Whats wrong with your Touch Pro? Is it really an insurance thing or can it be covered under warranty?

I got my Alltel TP replaced under warranty with a TP2. They first sent me a Verizon TP and I called them and told them I would not accept that phone as a replacement. They asked me if I would take the TP2 and I said hmmm, I guess :P

However, I later found out that this was their own incompetence as the Alltel Touch Pro was available the whole time.
