just briefing over that 'sploit, it requires/targets SElinux, the security module (or something to that effect; been a while since i've played in that particular sandbox) for linux. I'm not sure (at all, to be honest) but i don't know for sure that Android uses SElinux or something built off it for their security.
Once again, not sure, but i don't want anyone to get too excited over this. Does seem to be the right direction to head in though.

looks a wee bit more promising. I'm not anywhere I could test it (and i'd need a lot more research to know wtf i'm doing) but seeing as it looks like everyone else is just waiting for somebody else to root this *****, i'mma start looking into it.
