Re: Official TOTAL price you paid for Pro2

Now that my bill is posted and my rebate approved, I'll post what I got.

I spoke with Sprint retentions, threatened to go elsewhere with my very large multi-phone (but personal, not business) family plan. They insisted they couldn't do any better than the posted $450 price. Kept them on the phone for quite a while until they agreed to speak with their supervisor about it and said they'd call me back. I was sure that was it and I wouldn't get anything.

They called back the next day and said the supervisor agreed to give it to me for $300 before rebate. I went with it.

I didn't think I would qualify for the rebate because I've got an old grandfathered family plan and my phone only has an "unlimited data plan" not an "Everything" plan which the rebate says is required.

Just saw the bill. I was charged $478.11 ($450 +tax?) and got 3 credits of $53.13 each -- end charge on the bill for the phone is $318.72.

Just saw my rebate status changed to approved. That takes it to $218.72. And I got the $70 account renewal credit (okay, I could've gotten if I wasn't getting a phone, but wouldn't have renewed for 2 years if I didn't need to for the phone), taking it to $148.72. And then I sold my old Touch on ebay for $100 (after fees), so my net cost on the TP2 is $48.72.

Considering I would've paid the full price if I'd had to (and then gotten the rebate, $70 credit, eBay of course), I am very pleased.
