So far the best remedy seems to be disabling the default dialer. Take a read through Threefaces 2.5 Manila guide linked in my sig.
I'll get you started-go to Start/Tools/Tweaks/TouchProTweaks and use the first section to choose the WM dial pad, soft reset after.
