Re: Are you a Windows Mobile Loyalist?

Am I a WM loyalist?

Yes. Definitely. No question. Unabashedly so.

I wasn't always one though. I was a dedicated Palm hoor from around 01 to 08, I had several different models of Palm PDAs, 3 Treos, and a Centro. Prior to that I had had a few dumbphones, a S60 Nokia, and a Sidekick 2. My magic moment with WM happened when I bought a used Mogul off Craigslist last October. Now, I won't use anything else. I love the control & flexibility that WM offers over all other OSes. You can do SO MUCH with it, and customize it any way you want. I've played with Android & iPhones, and the interface is nice but rather limited. And I don't like limits. So yes, I am a WM loyalist, and I hope it never dies out.

Even if WM were to be discontinued or changed so radically as to become unrecognizable, we geeks would keep it going. Hell, look at the Apple Newton. Those things were out for like a minute back in the early 90's, & they're STILL being used & people are still making apps for them. People are still hacking OKIs for christ's sake.

I really don't like Apple either. I mainly hate the way their products simply REEK of pretentiousness & are ridiculously overpriced.
