I haven't seen chess classic, but my favorite 3D Chess game that works on WVGA is called Majestic Chess. I have v1.10, but there may be newer versions out there.

I've also tried Kasparov Chess, but it rotates all wrong for my Touch Pro 2 and I cant figure out how to get it properly orinted where you can see the full board.
