i've read other places about "recalibrating" the battery too. usually let it drain completely to where it wont turn on. charge it completely while the phone is off. once fully charged, you are good to go. i've read this is a good thing to do every 30-40 charging cycles (usually days for most of us) & is also sometimes necessary with a new rom flashing. ...I think Winmo gave me a link to a wiki that talks about how you can condition your battery and get better performance. It should be in the Guide with the other battery stuff. There's discussion of it in this thread too, but the wiki has the specific steps to take. It, apparently, does wonders.
