I finally got my phone to work with activesync to install the hspl. Just in case if anyone else has problem with getting activesync to work correctly

Program = > Activesync = > Menu => Connection => Synchronize all PC using this connection and check USB

also

Settings => Connection => USB to PC => make sure to uncheck Enable advanced network function (even if Activesync on your pc does recognize the device)

If this has been mentioned, sorry for the redundancy

After successful correct sync and was able to install hspl 0.37 cmonex, i was able to upgrade the radio to 1.12 .. will see if there's any more gps problem.....
