I don't think there is a special case in making the emulator image. Seems you've got it. Maybe all the pitfalls are XIP porting. For XIP porting, I used to use aid the XIPAddrTools for reloc and XIPPort to porting and insert into the image. And also I always remove hd.dll osaxst0.dll modules order fit xip partition.
