What I just tried was typing a note. Typed a few characters, then rotated it, continued typing, then rotated again, and typed some more. Seemed to work fine. Also repeated the above in "scribble" mode with the stylus. Again, seemed to work fine.

There are some advanced features you can set so certain apps don't rotate, but I haven't set any so don't know how well that works. I'm fine with my today screen rotating.
