yes, this is the same problem I have, in landscape mode the alignment is all off, you gotta just type whatever you want, close the keyboard to put it back in to portrait mode and then hit the send button, also if your trying to use the green function button to get like a question mark or something, you just gotta hit function and then hold the question mark down for a second and it'll come up.
