Tethering Tools: Both items must be installed to your computer, not to your Droid. Just follow instructions after installation. The free version of PDANet is all you need to surf the internet, but you will need the paid version if you want to use any kind of file sharing service while tethering.

Very handy app review site. This site has been very useful, basically the whole site is set up like the android marketplace allowing you to search and view the entire app catalog from your computer along with customer reviews. They even have a barcode on each app's page that allows you to scan the page with the barcode scanner in your phone so you dont have to search for the app again on your phone:
