I will go for the HERO than the Moment!
why?
Better support in the Android community, easy customizable, hack/tweak compatible, and really popular.

Don't get me wrong the Moment seem as powerful Android with powerful cpu, keyboard and so other stuff that the HERO is missing, but is like comparing a HTC WinMo device then Palm WinMo device.
The HTC is highly customizable, tweakable and better support as if you were to coompared to the WinMo devices from Palm that are more lock down!
