I used the app just for teh maps and driving directions. I travel to many places through out the country and just the driving directions alone save me from using wap.mapquest.
Yes, you have to use an external gps for the gps to work. I would really like to know what gps set up to use for this, as if any gps hook up will work, becuase if so, then it is worth having for good. I will try out a buddies gps receiver and see what happens. I will post my results here.
If you find something out before me, I will wait anxiously for your results. But great find on the app, my first app to make it on the PPC!
