Re: dear chefs:nobody is willing to cook 6.1 anymore? ! the forum misses 6.1

At first read I thought that the OP was wrong and that he should not complain about something that other people do for free. Or that common sense would dictate he should probably just PM a couple rom makers instead of creating a whole new thread on the forum. BUT he has a good god-damn point to make.

If people were smart they would realize that THE MICROSOFT DEVELOPMENT TEAM fully admits 6.5 is **** and they fired everybody who worked on it and hired all new people to make WM7.

ALL WM 6.5 is...is a bunch of guys who didn't know what they were doing that Microsoft hired trying to get 6.5 to look as cool as the people at ppcgeeks made 6.1 look.

There are LITERALLY NO ADVANTAGES that 6.5 has over 6.1. The only thing that's different is how it's visually laid out, how fast or slow it runs is all dependent on how good the cook is and the processor speed of your device.

IE - There's a reason MightyMike stuck to 6.1 on the Diamond and Touch Pro. Because 6.5 is just a bastardized version of 6.1. The Tp2 has the screen real estate to JUSTIFY cooking with STABLE build of 6.5.

Cooks can obviously do whatever they want. And I support cooks who make roms with 6.5, but honestly nothing beyond build 21864 is even worth putting on my device because of how horribly it was built by Microsoft. I feel the OP's pain as there are only three or four roms that I have ever found to be consistently stable and usable on an every day for every task basis. There are a LOT of roms out there that seem like they're somebody's nightmare, yet the people who cook them claim that they are the best things since sliced bread. In essence, I feel the OP's pain, mainly because of the fact that a lot of people took after Microsoft in that they built a lot of roms even though they had no idea what the hell they were doing.
