When I do it for Sprint, I always run the Removal cab, soft reset, then install the latest Arcsoft, then soft reset...works perfectly. The exact steps are in my Guide [linked in my sig along with links to cabs]. MURDUCKY had some steps for getting it working on USCC.

I assume the steps are mostly the same but that you'd need to sneak in a carrier cab or something unique for Metro PCS.
