If you are not sure, just dial *99 and you will get the "you are now within airave coverage" message. The signal strength indicator is not a reliable means of determining if you are connected to your airave.

I have an airave as well and thought I was losing my connection but it was pointed out to me that the signal strength is not an indocator of connection to the airave.
