Not sure if you can get rid of the softkeys completely, but you can change them to something else.
I think the
easiest way to do this is to run the included "Diamond Tweak" program.
Run it, then scroll down to section "14. TouchFLO 3D" and there you can change both the Home Left and Right Softkeys to something more useful for you.
