hmmm....sounds like an odd problem with computer and the drivers. not sure what would fix it. try re-installing activesync or wmdc. what is the bsod telling you? is it giving you the cause?

or you can try going to start-settings-connections-usb to pc, then uncheck the box under Activesync.

or just unlock and flash from sd card http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=61333
