Duplicate shortcuts in Start / All Applications

I apologize if this question has already been answered in another thread (I tried searching...) If so please link me / delete / burn me to the stake

My question is, is there anyway to automatically ensure that if an application is added to the start menu list of applications (TF3D), if it can be removed from the "All Applications" page to avoid having to look at duplicates? Please let me know, thanks!
