It would be treated like an added line but its obviously on its own plan and yes you can keep your other plan/line(s). I did it for a member already(cant remember if it was Tom or not). You can send the phone back if you want or exchange it through order support. I wont use a phone you already may have because I get charged an activation fee that obviously I dont want to pay for.
