Re: Sprint just won't budge on a 6.5 release date.

I work for a major carrier & I know how the system works. The agents he is speaking to are the last to find out information like this. Not to mention (contrary to popular belief) the 6.5 update is the last of their concerns. There are so many things ahead of updating the OS on a working phone, not to mention the release of other devices with 6.5 for the sole purpose of selling that particular feature.

If you want updates on 6.5 releases you need to be talking with the marketing folks, not the front-line agents & "retention specialists". The problem is, they don't have any reason to speak with us. 95% of the time when someone gets a obscure piece of information it's just BS so the agent can get the customer off his phone so it doesn't run up his CAHT (Call Average Handle Time). He will gladly take the hit on his FCR/FTR (first Call Resolution/First Time Resolution) if you decide to call back to ask someone else, who in turn will read the notes & go "OMG, one of THOSE ppl" lol and tell you what the last agent did (if hey are smart enough to pull up the history).
