I have done this sort of things before.
Sometimes it work and sometimes doesnt. Usually when you are in flight you will lost your tracking. Maybe the plane is flying too fast.
I will work if you got a Bluetooth GPS with built in data ROM. Then load the ROM to Google Earth and it will plot it. But you cant see it real time obviously.
