See the thing is, I'm beginning to think that WM 7 will have a lower form if not a modded form by our great chefs that can run the TP. It has the zoom bar, dedicated windows key, and 3.5mm headphone (I don't know if the compass is required), that WM 7 requires, and tbh by 2010 there won't be an abundance of WM 7 capable phones it appears (for now) so they will have to make some concessions on the requirements if they want WM 7 exposure. On top of that, we can look at the iphone or the droid with something like 600 MHZ processors and consider that chefs like nue can make overclockers to clock our processors up to as high as 728 MHZ (though safely I would keep it around the same 600 or so), and realize that they get EXCELLENT performance. Our limitation may be our graphics drivers, but I'm not convinced yet that we even NEED snapdragon or tegra for solid phones, the Droid, the Iphone, many Blackberrys and even the Pre to a lesser extent show this off. The TG01 had a snapdragon and still ended up having some lag simply because it wasn't well optimized. I think this push by WM vendors to get us to buy more expensive hardware should be backed by stronger software optimization if they want us to continue along.
