I installed AKU 2.6 on my phone, and installed the threading app with zero problems. Didn't copy any files over to windows either. I remember there was a time where we thought only 2.3 did not require the file copying. Didn't test MMS, I really don't use it much. When I can I will report my findings. But AKU 2.6 is 100% fine w/SMS, with no copying needed.

If I may ask, what phone are you using and how did you install AKU 2.6? I'm assuming this is not a Treo?
