Try using Phm regeditor to make the reg edits and see if they stick.You may need to install Shaggylive's CM Killer because like the new TP rom the CM Guardian file that runs at startup may be resetting those reg values. Here's a link to CM Killer : http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=1203597
