Re: Who loves his/her HTC TOUCH PRO 2

I have only had mine for about 24 hours, but I can already say with complete confidence that it is hands down the best device that I have EVER owned, and I've had a LOT of phones & PDAs. The Touch Pro 2 easily surpasses all of them. This is one device which has met & even exceeded every expectation I had of it. I am so pleased with it that I'm not really even mad that I had to pay for it(I tried to get it as a TP replacement but was denied, lolz). IMO it's worth every penny. I don't mind paying a lot for a device that does everything I want it to, and does it well.

I have not noticed any physical defects in my unit. Solid construction all around. I only have a few very small gripes about it, which are...

*No flash. I really miss being able to use the camera flash for a flashlight. Can't tell you how many times the Touch Pro's flash saved me from falling & breaking my neck in the middle of the night.

*The reset hole is located UNDER the battery cover now. But this can be bypassed with psShutXP. However, total lockups will require a removal of the battery cover, which is not the easiest to remove. But thankfully I haven't had a lockup yet

*The 'enhanced notifications'. They really annoy me. I like to be able to tap my battery icon & be taken to my power settings, not get a black screen that says "no new notifications". I hope there's a way to disable this.

*It was mistaken for an iPhone earlier today. And I see that happening quite frequently too. But my 'iPhone Killer" wallpaper should correct peoples' assumptions.

But all in all, this phone is awesome. HTC really outdid themselves with this one.

BTW- to all who want their d-pads back, there is a little app called Keyboard Config made just for this phone which allows you to remap the hardware buttons to whatever you like. I have my send/end keys remapped to left & right, my volume buttons remapped to up & down, and the windows key to enter. Viola- makeshift d-pad. You can also remap the keyboard keys as well. I can post it if anyone wants it.
