I can confirm the my diamond will not connect to the garmin nor the magellan, at least not the models I'm looking at (in my price range).

Bushrod, yup, thats the law we have here now. What complicates things, I don't believe I will get a ticket, but I know my wife will, and she has another phone (a samsung). I was hoping the standalone GPS would connect to both phones but they won't connect to either.

seems the speakerphone is what I need. Perhaps in a few more years there will be more of a 'standard' out there for bluetooth, GPS units and cells.
