One option is to download null keyboard and set that as your default soft keyboard layout. There are different versions out, but below is one of them.

I believe No2Chem also has something on his site (above) that will make the nullkb active only when the harware keyboard is out. Used it on my touch pro, but haven't tried it on the TP2.
