No, wifi router uses YOUR DATA connection. So. if you use wifi router than a. your phone becomes a hotspot and b. it uses your data (SPRINT) to connect to the web. You will not need a different wifi hotspot.......... If I am understand you correctly. Say you are on the bus but don't have usb cord. Open wifi router turn it on and access the web from your computer on your ride to where ever you are going. Nothing else is needed
