When I uninstall something it's not giving me my memory back.

I uninstalled two fairly large programs(over a MB) and it is not giving my memory back even after soft reset. Is there another program I should be using other than "Remove Programs"? I searched but all I came up with was a bunch of RAM questions. Not storage memory. I am asking about the internal storage memory. Also I ran a program which ultimately cause me to do a hard reset, and it for some reason when you would try and run it would eat up your internal storage. I tried uninstalling it, along with other things and it stayed full. So I hard reset and now I accidentally loaded on two programs I didn't want after the HR and before the uninstall it said 109.15 free mem. After the uninstall and SR it still shows 109.15. (im a tard)
