I'm not getting the pop up box but I too am getting the "new message" indicator instead, that disappears. It would be nice to figure out how to make that not show up also.

I do this on my new Imagio, and indeed the SMS bubble and sound goes away. However, my 3G icon changes to a 1X. If I undo the reg hack and soft reboot, I get my 3G icon back. I have no idea if it's an accurate indication or not, but it's weird.
EDIT: Scratch that. I went through the steps and did it again. My 3G icon is present. Coincidence? I did go back and look at the changes after the reboot.
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings SMSNoSentMsg changes back to a 1 every time, however, the SMS Sent Message seems to stay GONE.
