I love it how everyone is ratting on DCD, like as if no one remembers what he did.
Did everyone forget he was the first guy to bother writing a custom rom that catered to what users wanted/requested?

Yes, DCD's recent roms are based on No2Chems, but that's because No2chem ported an XIP that no one had done before, it was rather revolutionary at the time, so DCD stopped using the alltel core and switched.

Originally, he manually did the same thing colonel and anyone else who started from scratch did... break apart someone's stock rom, and start fiddling. He did this originally for his own benefit. But when he saw that some people didn't like all the things that colonel added in his public rom, DCD made a "clean" version. When people had comments/suggestions about that, he started making more versions to cater to their needs, then started making 2 options... a custom and a clean. Basically, he listened to people and tried to help (his personal rom for his own private use is quite different because he doesn't necessarily like what people have been asking for). Until a kitchen is released (or at least one for the masses, that is), this was the most helpful thing anyone could have offered.

Colonel has done some revolutionary work here, so don't get me wrong, but his builds are not for everyone. Before DCD came along, whenever some of us would try to talk to him about his rom, we got very cold responses. A lot of immature things have been going on in the chat as well as this board that have hurt many people's feelings, and I think this is true of everyone involved.
Its all about someone didn't get credit for this, someone else released something before it was ready, they took our work and repackaged it, etc... Everyone feels like someone's toes are being stepped on.
In the end, all this is hurting the community as a whole. I've tried many times to get everyone to work together, but some people don't want to work as a group.

And that's fine, but don't call people names when they get fed up and leave. Many of you probably don't know what happened before DCD posted in this thread. Its actually this attitude that will cause more people to leave.
