Re: Image of Verizon Omnia 2
I know I've been out of the loop for a while but I still understand the basics. You can't cook a rom unless there is a rom to start with. I dug out my i760 the other day and realized how much crap the phone had on it that I never used. Same with the Omnia, only some one was nice enough to cook a basic rom, so the memory wasn't wasted on stuff I'd never use. Verizon is know for this type of bloat-ware. My omnia like many others runs nothing like the omnia I unboxed. Rom cooking has a similar effect to overclocking.
The flip side is that if the o2 ships with 6.5 then will there be a rom update? If not will we ever see roms? Also I could care less about if the o2 has 6.1 or 6.5, I'm interested in new custom roms. I will most likely use the basic 6.5 interface no matter what...touch wiz isn't going to justify the resources.
In the end it's all speculation. But optimally o2 will be released and with in a few months 6.5 will be released in form of a rom. That would be the best for our type.
My last post was to point out some discontinuity with what is supposed to be "facts"
