I figure the more information for you to go on the better so here is what I'm doing. I am running the windows xp sp2 bt stack and I am using the typical setup of having it map a com port to activesync. Here is where the differences are. With the working ROMs the activesync on my computer turns green and spins a bit and then on my phone i have 'ActiveSync' as an available service. With the 1.5.2 clean ROM activesync on my computer never spins or turns green and instead of 'ActiveSync' I have 'Serial Port' as an available service showing on my phone.

i will check it out tonight, if i can find my bt dongle.

have you tried to connect to the serial port? when i had played with as over bt (long time ago) i thought mine always showed 'serial' instead of 'activesync'. but obviously something changed if it was one way in 1.5.0 and different now. i just cant figure out what could have possibly affected that.
